Chef Adam Efland is culinary teacher here at Winter Springs High School. Efland first started working here in August of 2010 after his brother who worked at the school at that time suggested that he should apply for the culinary position that was opening up. Before coming to Winter Springs, Efland was a chef for 25 years and had the amazing opportunity to study in Ireland with master chefs for a year. Cooking is something that has always been a passion for him and ever since elementary school, he knew that he wanted to become a chef. When asked what made him want to teach culinary to students Efland said “I will say the highlight of my career has been teaching here at Winter Springs. It gives me great pleasure to teach students the art of cooking.”
