After months of preparation, the Winter Springs chorus led by the musically talented director Kara Ferland has been burning with excitement as the Winter Springs Chorus social media sent out an exciting announcement on October 10, 2025 stating that our amazing choir managed to enter within the top 12 high schools out of the hundreds of other schools around the world in order to yet again join Disney Orlando’s number one Christmas event known as Candlelight!

         Mrs. Ferland stated to her classes that after all of their hard work and practicing the 14 challenging songs over the last four months of school, they had been gladly accepted into the Epcot Candlelight Processional Honor Choir after sending in their audition recording; many students have explained their excitement, like our Junior Copy Editor Alphonsa Thomas who also takes part in our choir, stated that, “Our whole choir has done such an amazing job at preparation, but I still have trouble believing that our first real Candlelight dress rehearsal is only three months away!”

        The choir for Winter Springs has also spoken about other important events for chorus, such as our Showcase concert where we practice in order to perform songs at our school for parents, staff, and everyone else to come and enjoy.

        The Winter Springs choir has also begun to spread their overexcitement for the Disney Orlando Epcot performance days, which all are welcome to come to.
