A new Spider-Man show is being created by Sony and Amazon prime, starring Nicholas Cage as the “Spider-Noir,” a different variation of the Spider-man we know and love. This show instead of being set in modern day New York, is instead set in the dark and gritty 1930s New York, where Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben was killed by the goblin mafia. Parker, getting bit by a mystical spider from a shattered idol, and with rage in his heart, sets off to end and defeat the villains who have wronged him, his uncle, and his city.
The first trailer of “Spider-Noir” was released on February 12th of 2026, in which the show’s twist included two versions of the show, one in black and white color, to fit the aesthetic of the 1930s, and one in colored, for people who don’t really care for aesthetic or who do not like black and white. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this adaptation of “Spider-Noir” the last time we’ve seen Nicholas Cage’s version was in Sony’s “Spider-Man Into the the spiderverse” movie franchise, in which many fans fell in love as his voice acting, and style of “Spider-Noir” felt true to his comic book self, and other previous adaptations. Sony, trying to piggyback off the fandom, decided to continue a spinoff in which they continued off the Spider-Noir from the spiderverse and made it live-action.
There were other adaptations that were also very popular which included, Spider-Noir from the “Ultimate Spider-Man Tv show, and from the video game, “Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions” in which for a split second they showed the character, giving people a taste of him, in which finally he is in his prime as of right now.
