If you are a huge fan of Greek Mythology, or a fan of the notorious book series, Percy Jackson and The Olympians, then you should definitely check out their show adaptation of the books starring actors like Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Jeffries (Annabeth), Aryan Simhadri (Grover), Charlie Bushnell (Luke), and many other wonderful and talented actors.
On December 10, 2025 the producers, and original writer of the books, Rick Riordan worked incredibly hard to release the second season of the series, based off of book two of the series, titled Sea of Monsters. Similarly to the first season, season two continues the story just like the book. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson sneak out of camp to beat Luke to the golden fleece to save Grover from the cyclops Polyphemus and protect Camp Half-Blood’s barrier from other monsters.
Over time, fans were incredibly excited for many of the characters that were added to season two, such as Tyson (Percy’s cyclops brother), who is portrayed by Daniel Diemer. There is also the new camp director, Tantalus played by Timothy Simons. Along with more soon to arrive characters like Grover’s love interest, Juniper. The sorceress, Circe, Polyphemus the cyclops. As well as the daughter of Zeus, Thalia Grace who soon gets revived by the mythological artifact known as the golden fleece, and is seen to be played by Resident Evil star, Tamara Smart.
In season two, we are introduced to Luke’s ship, The Princess Andromeda, where him, other demi-gods, and even monsters are joining him in his plan to destroy the home of the gods, Olympus, restore the king of the titans, Kronos and create a new world where monsters, and demi-gods can live free without the worry of other normal humans.
However, while Percy, his brother Tyson, and Annabeth attempt to beat Luke and his crew, they will soon be intercepted by the daughter of Ares, Clarisse La Rue, who had been sent on the quest for the fleece from Dionysus and Tantalus with her undead sea crew, provided by Ares (Adam Copeland) himself. Assuming that the show will be truly accurate to the book, the teamed up demi-gods, despite being trapped in the sea of monsters, will find the island and make it to the fleece, although the battle for control of the fleece will be difficult now that Luke has taken Annabeth as well as the fleece to speed up Kronos’ healing process.
Fans truly enjoyed season two, and are excited to see what’s to come in season three. Will Percy and his friends retrieve both Annabeth and the fleece, or will the storyline change and Kronos gains control of Olympus quicker? Hold fast, and find out soon, Percy Jackson fans!
