Best Buddies is a club here at WSHS. The purpose of Best Buddies is to help the special needs kids or the intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) kids feel more welcomed into the social aspect of high school. They get opportunities that they haven’t had before. Some of these include, having lunch in the lunchroom, doing community service projects, going to dances, and many more.

The Presidents of Best Buddies are Jillian Vinci and Olivia Song. The club meetings are held twice a month during both the first and second lunch. These meetings are held in Ms. Saunders room (room 4-123).  There are no requirements to join Best Buddies, and everyone is welcome. Every member starts with a questionnaire to help create Buddies and each buddy helps kids feel accepted. They talk, play games, and enjoy snacks together. In Best Buddies, friends and memories are cherished.
