Who’s got the prettiest eyes, best style, and funniest laugh in the Class of 2025? The Seniors voted in their favorites and on April 9th, the results were revealed in an award-show-style in honor of the senior class. The annual Bjorns show is the unique Winter Springs version of the typical Senior superlatives. Instead of a minor section of the yearbook dedicated for superlatives, Student government Underclassmen put on an Oscars duplicate type of night for the seniors to dress up and have the opportunity to be celebrated for their quirks and traits on a large scale.
Categories included everything from “chronically online” to “most likely to run away from Clark.” Another twist on the typical superlatives that make Winter Springs stand out are the Creative names for each category. Instead of the usual “Best couple,” “Chatty,” or “Funniest,” students found themselves carrying home trophies called everything from Nara Blue & Lucky Blue, D1 Yapper, and Most likely to be on SNL.
Hosts Callie Clabo and Sydney Hanson put on a show for the audience offering comedic relief and introductions for each award. The ladies brought their script to life and left the crowd laughing at every possible occasion. However, special guests Tyler Allo and Larissa Daou took over for a couple skits to share the stage. Tyler, one of the class clown recipients, and Larissa kept the room lively with their fresh sense of humor. Aside from the hosts, multiple students were able to announce the nominees and winners for each category allowing everyone to have a chance to be involved in the production.
This year’s trophies took a more creative route as they were in the shape of a Goat head in reference to the famous “Greatest of all time” abbreviation. Winner of the “Most likely to be on SNL” award Ayanna Chag-Chaderton exclaims that she “had a super fun time” watching the show and announcing awards with a friend. She notes that in comparison to previous years this show “hits different” due to being a part of the show and she loved watching her friends take home “accurate” trophies.
Winners included Emily Wattles & Joseph Button for “Young Sheldon” ; Ben Medeiros & Imani Killenbec for “Gossip Girl”; Tianna Anderson & Donald Nygen for “Most likely to Survive Squid Games”; Poojita Kannuamari & Marven Oza for Future President; along with many more winners.
