Emily Pafford is a freshman here at Winter Springs high school. Emily is a current member of the Winter Springs Softball team run by Coach Farrah Gordon, she also mentioned that she has been very active and involved with other sports outside of school such as weightlifting, volleyball, and competitive roller skating. Emily states that her most reliable advice when going to school is to “be prepared, remember the bonds we create, and get to know what it is like growing up.”
Emily and many other Winter Springs students have also spent lots of their time helping out with the high school music program for chorus; Emily is very proud of the amount of work and effort that her, friends, and the school have put into each aspect of the program. A quote that she reminds herself of everyday that she wants her, her friends, and others out there to know and share states, “Why fit in when you are born to stand out?”
Other than being involved with high school softball, she also likes to express herself by doing other hobbies such as drawing and painting things that help her embrace and show off her level of creativity. During winter break, Emily occupied her time away from school and classwork by going to conventions with her brother and her sister-in-law. Emily also spent some of her winter break helping babysit.
Besides going to school, doing sports in and outside of school, Emily has many other interests such as movies. One movie she personally recommends is a 2021 film called Moxie, starring Hadley Robinson who portrays the character Vivian.
