Lily Langston, Staff Reporter
Lily Langston is a current freshman at Winter Springs High School. When asked about going into high school she replied that she was extremely excited yet very nervous. She is a very funny person and easy to get along with, yet sometimes can be a little quiet and shy. Lily decided to join the newspaper so she could work on her writing skills. Lily loves animals and enjoys spending time with her two dogs Presley and Thor, one cat Moonie and one bird named Bert. In Lily’s free time after school or on the weekends she enjoys hanging out with her sister Zoe. When they’re together they love baking cookies and cakes. Lily does not enjoy reading books at all but she does really like music. She listens to many artists including Sza and The Weeknd. Lily’s absolute favorite song is “Hurry Up Tomorrow” by The Weeknd. Besides the joy and passion Lily has for music and baking, something she also really loves is tennis. She loves to practice and improve more and more every single day. Lily puts a lot of effort and determination into this sport because it means a lot to her and is a big part of her life. After Lily finishes her four years in high school, she’s not sure where she wants to go for college, but she has plenty of time to think about it. When asked Lily’s main worry for college was that it needs to be in Florida and close to home. After some time and thinking she has some interest in going to University of Central Florida, because it is a very highly educated and well known college and it is also very close to home. In the end Lily is very excited for high school and to improve her writing technique and skills.
