Every member of Bear Nation knows that the end of October brings crisp weather, pep rallies, and our beloved pre-Halloween tradition: Trunk or Treat. Winter Springs High School is known for its excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts, and our student body gets to show off their creativity and sense of community at this fantastic event. On Wednesday, October 29th, thousands of trunk-or-treaters flooded the parking lot, not with cars, but with candy bags. The Lady Bears Softball team sported a fan-favorite trunk theme: Star Wars. Junior Summer Masen walked around in a full Wookie costume while Senior Adison Pierce rocked green face paint as the iconic Jedi guru, Yoda.
Yours truly (The Bear Truth News) teamed up with the English Honors Society to bring the magic of Harry Potter‘s Diagon Alley and Platform 9 and 3/4 to life. Senior Valeria Di Donato blasted the soundtrack from the Harry Potter films to delight passersby. The Step Team donned adorable M&M costumes for their fan-favorite candy themed trunk. There were many creative and fun-filled trunks that brought both surprise and delight to our community. Overall, every Bear brought their collaboration and their love of fun to this favored Fall tradition.
