It is about that time of the year when Apple starts dropping rumors of the release of their next iPhone. Normally the new iPhones are released in the fall of every year. This year the iPhone 13 should be dropping next.

Like last year’s event, the iPhone 13 announcement event is most likely going to be online only. This is so that it will delay the return of in-person work due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. Apple’s first event of 2021 happened in April, where everyone saw new iPads, colorful iMacs, a purple iPhone 12 and AirTags trackers. Then came WWDC in June, where we caught a first glimpse of iOS 15. But there was no word from Apple on the iPhone 13 at either event.

It is expected that there will be four new iPhones. Like the iPhone 12, there will most likely be the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. From everything we’ve heard so far, the iPhone 13 is set to offer a 120Hz LTPO display on both Pro models, improved battery life, and substantial upgrades to the all-important cameras.

A report from Front Page Tech says that the iPhone 13 release date will be September 24 with pre-orders starting on September 17. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 13 should return to a normal release schedule in 2021. This means a September launch. Because of the pandemic it changed the usual course Apple takes every year. Which caused the 2020 Apple event to be the first event in 1-10 years to be without an iPhone.
