Riley Hazel, Editor-in-Chief

Senior, Riley Hazel is the head of the 2019-20 The Bear Truth newspaper. From afar, she seems quiet, but in reality, she’s outgoing, quirky, and compassionate towards everyone. Riley enjoys writing, educating herself, exploring new topics, and running. Seeing that this is Riley’s last year in high school, she looks forward to “Just being a senior because I’ve been waiting for this forever.” This is Riley’s second year in newspaper, and she’s writing about recent news and in-school happenings. Riley joined newspaper last year because her friend told her about the class option. Hazel says she fell in love with newspaper after standing up when no one else did, claiming “I wasn’t just going to let it fall apart.”
