Arturo Pinedo, a senior at WSHS, is a member of the Band of Gold and Jazz Band. Arturo would describe himself as mellow and courteous. He spends his free time at home PC gaming and composing alternative music with his friends. He has attended a multitude of indie concerts, including Districts, Summer Salt, and Hunny. When asked what attracts him to this style of music, he replied with “[I] use music as an emotional outlet…[Alternative music is] just a groove to let musically oriented people say what’s on their mind.” The Winter Springs community can look forward to Arturo and his fellow Band of Gold members performing Christmas carols around the surrounding neighborhoods to spread holiday cheer. The Band of Gold and other WSHS groups will be putting on a concert full of “movement and surprises” The show, notorious for its unique presentation of music will be on December 26 and 27 at 7 pm in the Auditorium. Tickets will be $8 at the door.
