If you’ve been on TikTok lately you have probably seen friends laughing or arguing over who’s the “imposter”. This is a result of the imposter game blowing up online and people even creating apps as an easier way to play, contributing to its fame online; and it’s just as fun to play as it is to watch.

Here’s how it works! Everyone playing gets the same word from a category or multiple categories of choice except the imposter. Players then take turns giving words that correspond or that others could correlate to the secret word the broader the word is the harder it is for the imposter to guess and connect the words The imposter has to fake it and pretend they know what’s going on while also convincing others that their words make sense. After the timer runs out everyone votes on who they think the imposter is. If the imposter survives the vote then they get one last try to guess the correct word and win.

It’s basically a mix of guessing, and acting. Maddison plays with her older brother and their younger family members. She says the sneaky part of the game is being imposter and having to try and go unnoticed. Overall, this is a great game to help bring people together while having a good time and sharing a laugh or two with loved ones no matter where you are playing or who you are playing with.
