As the new season of Dancing with the Stars returns, many people are happy to see such an amazing show start up again. Due to COVID-19 many changes have been made to keep this show running smoothly. For instance, one must social distance, get their temperature checked, and wear a mask on a regular basis. This applies to all of the crew members. This changed many things for the members competing as well. Derek Huff, one of the hosts, said he is excited about the oncoming, unexpected events of Season 29. The dancers usually have the opportunity to sleep in the same areas together, but due to the virus, they are mandated to sleep apart. Another bad part about this is that the celebrities can not prepare with their dancers so it’s going to be difficult to interact with one another.

One new way they plan on interacting is by separating the set into pieces. All of the celebrities that are involved were sent to Los Angeles to eliminate the amount of travel while the others will record themselves at home. After the celebrities train their dancers, they are not able to watch them perform unless it’s from the second floor balcony. Lastly they eliminated the live studio audience where the band usually plays their music.

All of these guidelines were set into place to ease the amount of commotion there might have been if there were any Corona cases. As of right now, there is no word on what the Dancing with the Stars managers or crewmates will be doing if a case does indeed break out, but they are for sure trying their best to keep it from getting to that point. Although this is going to be a rough patch for Dancing with the Stars, bringing it back was a great way to start our September.
