Love and Monsters is a new movie starring Dylan O’Brien as Joel Dawson, the main protagonist, who lives in a bunker with a group of people. They have lived there for seven years, ever since the missile attack on Earth mutated most insects and animals. Joel is basically scared of his own shadow, but because he’s tired of feeling alone, he ventures off into the outside world to find love. The journey there is full of suspense, twists, and laughs.

The characters in this movie are well portrayed, and it is easy to get attached to them. It’s more of a suspenseful movie than romantic since most of the screen time is Joel travelling and everything that happens during his journey. It has a good sense of character and great acting, the plot is good, but the storyline is a bit cliche, very predictable. There are no major lessons that were taught during this movie, it’s just entertaining.

If you are looking for a funny, light-hearted, family friendly movie, look no further. Love and Monsters has gotten great reviews since it came out in 2020, and it’s easy to see why.
