Days after the Democratic Convention, the Republican convention took place from August 24-27 in Charlotte, North Carolina. President Donald J. Trump went out and spoke about the economy, the lowest unemployment rate for minorities all over our country, and the millions of jobs created that were all stripped away due to COVID-19. America is experiencing   the most historic presidential election of our lifetime; Americans are living through a tough time because of the protest for equality, the virus, and the division between with Black Lives Matter in America where people are accusing others based on their political stance and inciting violence.

On the first day of the convention the keynote speakers were, Representative Matt Gaetz, Senator Tim Scott, and Representative Jim Jordan. Representative Gaetz opened up by slamming what he believes  is Biden’s lack of tenacity and integrity. Trump later spoke about our U.S economy pre-pandemic and how we need to fix the economy right after we fix this pandemic.

On the second day, Trump pardoned Jim Ponder for being accused of robbing a bank for which he was convicted of theft. Mike Pompeo was the first Secretary of State to speak at a convention through a pre-recorded speech from Jerusalem. First Lady Melania Trump gave the final speech at the newly landscaped rose garden.

On the final day of the RNC, Vice President Mike Pence accepted the nomination to be the Vice President again. Kellyanne Conway, the President’s Counselor, he has said, “He picks the toughest fights and tackles the most complex problems. He has stood by me, and he will stand up for you.” This election should be proven to be the most intense, primarily because this unforeseen event of COVID, will decide the fate of our sovereign nation.
