George Lopez announces Netflix series

George Lopez announced his new show called George Lopez: We’ll do it For Half. The series premieres globally on June 30 Netflix. The show explores race in politics and life lessons to be learned from the Latino community. The show was filmed at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco. 

The title refers to his infamous comeback to a rumor that Iran was offering an $80 million bounty for killing president Trump.

Lopez previously created, executive produced, and starred in the comedy series George Lopez, which aired six seasons on ABC back in the early 2000’s. Lopez recently starred in a comedy special named George Lopez: The Wall, Live from Washington DC. It was filmed at the Concert Hall at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. The show aired on HBO in 2017.

Lopez has been featured in four HBO specials, George Lopez: The Wall, Live from Washington DC in 2017, George Lopez: It’s Not Me, It’s You in 2012, George Lopez: Tall, Dark and Chicano in 2009, and George Lopez: America’s Mexican in 2007.
