Normani won for the best R&B music video. BTS won the best k-pop and best group. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello won the best collaboration. Cardi B won for best hip-hop video. That is to name just a few of the many awards that were presented during the night.

To start the evening, Taylor Swift performed the song “You Need to Calm Down” and “Lover.” Then, Normani performed “Motivation,” and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello sang their hit single “Senorita.” Lizzo performed “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell.” Lil Nas X performed “Panini.” Miley Cyrus sang “Slide Away.”

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s performance was very touchy and steamy. They almost kissed, which had a lot of people in the crowd hyped and excited in anticipation of what was going to happen. All in all, the night was filled with a number of unique performances.
