Mya Borrero is a ninth grader at Winter Springs High School and is in Freshman leadership. Borrero plans on staying in Leadership for the rest of her high school year. In leadership, she doesn’t have an official role yet; she helps out wherever she is needed. With her helping out wherever she can, Borrero can get experience in every different position and see where her skills are best needed. Borrero is also in the Chorus program at Winter Springs High School. She also intends to continue as a member of Chorus for the rest of her high school years. Chorus has an upcoming program called Candlelight, which will occur on November 28 and December 28. Another upcoming program that Chorus has is the Showcase in December.  

Borrero loves Biology and the Criminal Justice program. She originally was going to Seminole High School but then transferred to Winter Springs so she would be able to go to join the Criminal Justice program here. Mya plans on continuing as a strong member of the council at Winter Springs for the rest of her high school career.
