Sara-James Ranta, Editor-In-Chief
Sara-James Ranta is one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief of the newspaper staff and a senior at Winter Springs High School. She is a third year member and is involved with many other activities such as being a student reporter for the Sanford Herald, chorus and soccer. With a fiery passion for hard-hitting journalism, she’s excited to lead the Bear Truth and the staff along with Allie Nichols into (hopefully) another award-winning year. In her free time, she enjoys listening to EDM and doing yoga. She also loves music festivals and concerts; she’s been to thirty of them since her obsession started back in 2016. As fiery as her passion, her epistemic personality has driven her to write a broad spectrum of articles from the gender wage gap to climate change. Ranta describes herself as “outgoing, eccentric and spiritual.” With a future career surrounding her love of writing, her dream job is to be a correspondent for CBS news.
