Adriana Monsanto, a freshman at Winter Springs High School, is one of the new staff reporters on the Bear Truth News; her main goal is to enhance her skills and broaden her writing horizons. In the past, she spent her free time playing tennis and running track; now, she enjoys dancing, especially to music of her own choice. She also spends time writing contemporary works, and drawing. Monsanto would like to be an author who is respected and well-known for her works. She feels like there is a lack of young-adult books that are targeted towards her demographic, and she would like to make people feel less alone by being an author. Besides writing, she wants to become familiar with the editing process; to write well, she believes she needs to know the ins and outs of the process. She thinks the hardest thing for her here at Winter Springs will be becoming comfortable and less anxious. She’s not exactly sure which college she wants to go to. However, she believes it will be out of state, and she’ll major in creative writing.
