The annual Hometown Harvest came to town last Saturday, October 10th, 2015. There were many vendors ranging from Mathnasium to Chick-Fil-A. A new addition to this year’s event were food trucks, trampolines and a truck show. The food trucks available were McDonalds, Kona Ice, and Hillbilly BBQ, and as usual there was the kettle corn and lemonade station. Ennis Pruitt and 17-70 performed along with Winter Springs’ Got Talent winners- Meghan Steffy and Alexa Nielen. Mr. and Miss UCF also made an appearance. Just like every year, there were many family friendly activities; from the hay ride to pumpkin painting, face painting, balloon artists, and arts and crafts vendors there was something for the whole family to enjoy. Not to mention, that this year there were trampolines available for the kids to jump on, and a playground. There were many sponsors such as The Music Box, Tijuana Flats, Collin’s Dental, Winter Springs Police Department, 103.1 FM, Modern Plumbing Industries Inc., Remax Town and Country Realty, Seminole Trail Animal Hospital, Gladiator Workouts, Hope- preventing homelessness, Safe House, and Sam’s Club. Regardless of whether or not you participated in any activities, just walking around was enjoyable.
