Ethan Verderosa, a senior attending Winter Springs High School, is a major part of the exciting events held on campus, one of them being chorus, something that Verderosa really enjoys, “I’ve been in chorus for 7 years! The most exciting part of chorus for me has always been seeing the results of our hard work pay off. It’s always so rewarding whenever I nail a part and I’m just able to have fun with it!”
Verderosa is not only a member of chorus, but is part of theater too, Verderosa states, “I love being able to really get into the character I’m playing and just live in the moment. I love the feeling of being on stage, knowing the audience is watching, and just being able to go all out with a role and put on a good show. ” Both chorus and theater are also known for producing incredible concerts and shows, Verderosa expound, “My favorite show that I’ve ever been a part of has been A Chorus Line. I loved being in that show so much because it was the epitome of both of the things I’ve said. It was an incredibly difficult show for everyone because of how crazy the dances were, but we did it. And we did it well. And one of our last songs called “What I Did For Love” absolutely brought the house down with our harmonies.”
Overall, Verderosa puts passion and effort into the music and shows that he’s been a part of, and enjoys the excitement of chorus and theater. Verderosa also had advice to share with incoming students, saying, “Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! You never know if your capable of something if you never try! Also, if you so try, PRACTICE! Practice is one of the most important things in Theatre and Chorus!”
