After seeing the new Star Wars “Episode Vii The Force Awakens”, many fans are left with some unanswered questions. Emperor Snoke seems to be a mysterious character, but what if this character is actually someone other than we thought? Some fans believe they have the answers to our questions. Darth Plagueis The Wise, a Sith Lord rumored to be powerful enough to stop death itself, was slain by his apprentice, Lord Sidious (A.k.a Emperor Palpatine of Naboo), in his sleep.

“It’s Ironic really Darth Plagueis could stop people from dying but not himself,”-Palpatine.

Some fans speculate, Darth Plagueis was able to save himself just in a different way. Darth Plagueis, in death, possessed a new body. The body Lord Plagueis possessed was none other than a Gungan named Jar Jar Binks. In the very first scene of Star Wars “The Phantom Menace,” we meat Jar Jar. Droid battle tanks are moving through the forest and every animal is running in the opposite direction, except Jar Jar. Jar Jar, being the only life form running toward the tanks, runs directly into Qui Gon Jin. Several scenes later, we see Jar Jar preform a giant leaping front twist into the water, which could only be described as a force assisted jump. Jar Jar is a computer generated character so every action and movement is intentional by the director, on several occasions we see the Gungan almost putting words into people’s mouths.

This is a similar mind trick to that of which Obi Wan uses, “these are not the droids you’re looking for.” Jar Jar later in the series grants all emergency powers from the senate to Emperor Palpatine. Darth Plagueis has been strengthening his empire led by his apprentice from behind the scenes. Palpatine was instructed to find the perfect body for lord Plagueis to reincarnate into. Anakin Skywalker was the first choice but due to his sustained injuries on Mustafar fighting Obi Wan, he was no longer compatible. No years later Plagueis having a new body, Emperor Snoke, There is someone with a compatible body now in the picture. Kylo Ren is being prepared for his, “transformation to complete.”

Another interesting character may have an even more strange past. The question everyone is asking, “Who is Rey?” Rey seems to have some interesting qualities that are very familiar. Rey is an expert builder, being able to quickly repair the Falcon when it took Han and Chewy years just to fix a few parts. Rey is also without any prior experience able to expertly fly the Falcon through the hull of a downed Super Star Destroyer. Rey has strong visions of the future, and with no practice at all, she is quickly able to defeat Kylo who has been training all his life. Only one other person shares these qualities.

The Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, said to bring balance to the force but never completed his task and instead fell to the dark side. The Chosen One has returned to complete the task she/he didn’t finish in His/Her past life. Rey is Anakin, a reincarnation of the Chosen One. Rey is drawn to and connects with Anakin’s lightsaber due to this fact. Rey’s abilities match Anakins perfectly.

Both of these theories make sense from a business standpoint due to the fact it would tie the prequel trilogy to the new trilogy.
