Kenneth V. Bevan Jr., is an assistant principal in Winter Springs High School that has made major contributions for the school. For years, Bevan enjoys getting to know various students attending Winter Springs High School. Bevan stated, “It’s getting excited to know new students and seeing them adapt to the high school experience” Bevan continued, “Coming out of middle school, or even from another school, new students find that we have a lot to offer with fun and productive activities, sports, and clubs.”
Bevan has a set focus on the improvement of overall mental health, too. He shared “Mental Health and well-being are so important. We have a platform called “Ali’s Hope” for encouraging support, strength, and wellness.” Emphasizing the need for ensuring overall wellness across campus, using services like Ali’s Hope to improve mental health.
Another thing Bevan has spoken about was his favorite subject, “This is going to sound cheesy, but I like them all. Learning is good for us, and a variety of content helps.” He also spoke of some of his favorite school events, “I love the spirited stuff. That’s a big part of what makes high school meaningful and enjoyable.” Bevan continued, “Homecoming week, dress-up days, lunch-time activities, crowd spirit in the stands, the pride and fun with our band, Prom, game days, and many more.” Events like these happen annually and Bevan is always excited to be a part of it.
The last thing Bevan spoke of was his favorite thing about Winter Springs High School, “Easy, THE PEOPLE! Our students are fun, kind, and maintain respect with appreciation. Our faculty and staff bring a variety of strengths and experiences with common interest in adding empathy and value to the encouragement of individualized success. The people at our school are what makes Winter Springs High School special!”
