Luis Mendez is a hard-working sophomore in school. He is involved in Spanish Honor Society, American Sign Language Honor Society, English Honor Society, Beta Club, Leadership, and Community Service club. He grapples with all this work by setting a neat schedule. “I like to have a schedule to divide my time efficiently, and it has successfully helped me intensely,” said Mendez. This year Mendez is currently in AP World History and AP Spanish Language. Alongside this Mendez, decided to run for Junior Class President here are his thoughts on not getting the position this year “Running for Junior President was an honor, I didn’t get the position, but it was an honor to talk to different sophomores and discuss future wishes they had for Winter Springs High School. Those wishes aren’t gone, I will still proudly work with our new President to achieve as much of those wishes as possible.” Luis is interested in politics as he said, “This isn’t my last time running. You will see me again in the future and not only school wise but country wise.”
