With a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UCF, Ms.Brosch started working in tech support after helping professors during her student job at UCF and realized they loved it. Now, she’s at Winter Springs High School, handling everything tech-related like the school website, password resets, and Honor Roll.
She loves that every day is different, depending on what’s happening at school. One big challenge she faced is getting more computers for the school, which she’s working hard to fix. The most common problem she deals with is password resets for students and staff. Technology at Winter Springs is super important because it makes teaching more interesting and helps students get more involved. She keeps up with new tech by going to the Future of Educational Technology Conference and sharing what she learns with the school.
She thinks Closed Captioning on PowerPoint is a great tool because it helps translate spoken words for students who don’t speak English well. She’s also excited about new tech like the school’s Weather STEM program and thinks AI will play a bigger role in education soon. When tech issues pop up, she works with a Network Specialist and the county office to fix things quickly.
