Season 24 of The Bachelorette just started on October 13 with Clare Crawley as the Bachelorette. The Bachelor is an ongoing reality show about finding love and all the drama in between. Each year the show changes from bachelor to bachelorette from the previous season and adds on 31 new contenders. Clare Crawley was the runner up on the 18th season of The Bachelor.

Crawley is the oldest bachelorette who has ever been the spotlight of the show and is known for her television personality, but before she ever appeared on the hit television show, she was a hairstylist. Crawley also appeared on the first two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise. Bachelor in Paradise is the spin off show that gives the bachelor and bachelorettes a second and third try to find love. When Crawley appeared on Paradise her most iconic moment was when she had a therapy session with a raccoon.

Crawley appeared on the show because, as she tweeted: “I want Tayshia as the Bachelorette…like, I support her.” Tayshia is one of Crawley’s good friends and she was simply cheering her on. Her tweet blew up and people wanted her to become the bachelorette.

To appear on the hit television show, one can be nominated to get on the show, or hopefuls can apply with a mail-in application. When she filled out the application, Crawley was asked for her age and occupation, and she submitted a picture and why she wanted to be on the show.
