Leadership gave Homecoming a makeover this year with the theme of 007: Homecoming is Forever.

Students can expect all the usual homecoming activities such as the parade, dress-up days, Hypnotist Show, dance, and off course, the game.

However, there are some additions and adjustments. The parade moved to the evening. This was a big change for WSHS.  In the past, it was held during the day.  The route was the same as last year, beginning at the Winter Springs High School marquee and going down Bear Springs Dr., finally making its way past A.W. Epps Stadium.

Starting promptly at 6pm,   the parade included participants from all over the Winter Springs community, including local elementary and middle schools.  Students even got to see some of their former elementary or middle school teachers.

The parade ended with All Fired Up, which was a huge party to get the team and students amped for Friday’s big game. Students played games, did line dances and enjoyed food provided by various food truck vendors.

The Hypnotist Show is always a popular and fun event for students.  A professional uses hypnosis to make students do crazy and funny things.  Then students get to put their performance skills on display in the Annual Lip Sync Battle. After that, girls gear up to  show their stuff on the field in a game of Powder Puff football as the boys cheer them on. The Homecoming game will feature the nominees and reveal the 2018 Homecoming Queen and King.

Mr. Gaffney encourages the Winter Springs High School student body as well as the community to come out to the parade and the events throughout the week.

Friday– Win Purple and Gold

Homecoming Game @7 PM – $6 Admission

Saturday– Homecoming Dance WSHS Cafeteria 7 PM-11 PM
