Boys Basketball
This year boys basketball has done pretty well. Maintaining a winning record of 9-6-0, their record within the district is 3-3. Star player and senior member Brandon White has motivated and inspired the team as a whole to keep their winning record.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team has been killing the game this year with a 13-5-0 overall record thus far. Within the district, the girls have maintained a record of 7-2-0, hoping to make it past the district tournament.
Boys Soccer
Although not their best season, the boys soccer team is still pushing through with an overall record of 3-8-1. Within their district, the Bears have kept up the same record of 3-8-1. On a sad note, the soccer team and Winter Springs High School lost a student as well as a beloved athlete, Joshua Blake. Although the team suffered such a loss, they have kept up a positive attitude and plan on increasing their record this year.
Girls Soccer
Girls soccer has been doing well this season, keeping a winning record of 8-4-1. They have won four of their seven district games, while losing only three. Seniors Marissa Nye, Amanda Murphy, Kaitlyn Sims, and Brooke Butterfield as well as juniors Courtney Bourup, Sydney Mikalak, and Aaloni Colon have all helped the team excel. They had their first district game against Lyman this past week, and they came out victorious.
Girls Weightlifting
This year, the girls have done well. They hope to have several state qualifiers, including all-around athlete Molly Garrett, who hope to go on to represent Winter Springs High School at the state level.
Boys/Girls Wrestling
The wrestling team has been doing extremely well this past season, maintaining their winning reputation. They expect many state qualifiers this year including James Nereim and Max Wohlabaugh.
Competitive Cheerleading
Winter Springs is a class 2a team, competing in the small coed division. They have won their past two competitions, and they all hope to excel to the state competition at the end of the month. This is their second year competing as a small coed team.
