Malcolm Marfori is a sophomore at Winter Springs High School and is a returning member of the Bear Truth News while being promoted to sports editor this year. Marfori’s inspiration for rejoining the newspaper team this year was his freedom to be a creative writer and to be able to share his ideas with the rest of the team.  Marfori’s biggest inspiration and role model is his mom. She makes him push hard and never give up. Marfori lives with his two younger siblings, his brother and sister. 

Marfori’s hobbies include watching all kinds of sports, some of his favorites are basketball, baseball, and football. Marfori also enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends and brother. Marfori’s favorite subject in school is history because he likes to learn about different cultures and how they operate.

Marfori states that his biggest accomplishment is making it to the final in a nationwide middle school debate competition with the rest of his team in eighth grade. During the summer, Marfori visited family all across the United States including cities like Seattle, Washington and Austin, Texas.
