Ms. Freeman is a new English teacher at Winter Springs High School. Before coming to The Den, Freeman taught in Pasco County. However, last November, after Thanksgiving Break she decided to teach at Winter Springs. In the past, Freeman has taught English for 9, 10, and 11 grade students, as well as intensive reading for grade 9. She has even taken over the Newspaper class this school year. 

When asked what her favorite subject to teach was, Freeman explained “English is my favorite subject to teach, it is exciting to teach poems, literature, and readings that I really care about.” 

The job is rewarding to Freeman, and she says that her favorite part of being a teacher is “Seeing the positive impact you have on your students, and when students get really excited about reading or writing.”

Throughout all the students Freeman has had an impact on, she jokes that the best thing for a student to leave her class with at the end of the year is the ability to write a complete sentence, and have goals for their future. Freeman loves to teach, and plans on making it her long term career.
