On Friday November 4, Fox35 news anchor Allison Gargaro and a cameraman came to WSHS. They streamed live footage of the Hunnybears Dance Team, Band of Gold Drumline, and the varsity cheer and football teams having fun performing all of the usual Bear Nation Friday group dances. At the same time, they were also filming the Matanzas Pirates celebrating their morning pep rally. It was a true teen spirit battle. They interviewed starting quarterback Lucas Vertullo, who raved about the team’s high energy and confidence. A captain of the dance team Brooke Mosrie said that overall, despite the nervousness, it was “exciting to show off our spirit and share it with the community.”
