Chadwick Boseman’s Death Anniversary

Late actor Chadwick Boseman fans and co-stars took to social media to share their tributes to honor the one-year anniversary of his death. Many of them shared memories that they had with Boseman and remembered his impact that he had on everyone he met.
The beloved actor passed August 28, 2020 at the age of 43 after fighting a long battle with colon cancer, first diagnosed with stage 3 in 2016 which then progressed to stage 4. Chadwick is best known for his role as T’Challa in Black Panther after it’s release in 2018, the film made history for being the first superhero movie to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, having a majority black cast, and paying tribute to African American culture.
Many celebrities and fans paid tribute to Boseman like actress Lupita Nyong’o who played Boseman’s love interest in Black Panther who posted a picture of her and Boseman with the caption “I did not know that I could miss both his laughter and his silence in equal measure. I do… One year after his passing, the memory of @chadwickboseman remains alive in me.” Another one of the actors that paid tribute was actor Josh Gad who took to twitter to post one of his last text messages with Boseman which he wrote about the beauty of it raining in Los Angeles. Gad wrote “Not a day goes by one year later, where it doesn’t still hurt, But in the darkness, he always reminds us of the light. He was an angel on this planet and is now a saint on high. Love you and miss you more than ever… forever.” Boesman may be gone from this world but his legacy will live on forever.
