There were many different movies planned to be released, but the release dates were highly delayed due to Covid-19. Even with the obstacles, many movie companies are working hard to produce movies through Covid-19 situations. Disney, specifically, has several new movies that will be released by the end of this year. Some of these movies are the live-action Mulan, Soul, Disney’s Jungle Cruise, and Black Widow. Recently, due to Covid-19 many of the new Disney movies have been released on Disney-plus.

One of the most highly watched movies on Disney Plus is Hamilton, a live-action broadway show that was recently added to Disney Plus on July 3. Many critics said they enjoyed it on screen just as much as they did live on stage. Many reviewers have commented that the reason the show was such a hit was because of rising star Lin-Manuel Miranda. Many say his exceptional acting and singing skills make Hamilton enjoyable to watch.

Another highly rated movie released this year on Disney Plus was Onward. The main characters Ian and Barley Lightfoot were voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt respectively. Many say they liked the movie because of the emotional bond between the two brothers, and mix of emotions throughout the movie. People also said they loved the twist of a class fantasy quest into an urban-schemed adventure.

Another exciting upcoming movie is Disney’s Black Widow, which is said to be released November 6, 2020.  Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow seeks the darker parts of her past when a threatening scheme with ties to her youth arises. Movie makers have yet to overcome the challenges of Covid-19 and making their films in these divergent conditions.
