Freshman Class Council offers a great leadership experience for WSHS students. The sponsor of the club is Ms. Brittany Brown. The council meets every Friday between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the media center to discuss issues relevant to our ninth graders.

According to Brown, “Students should be a part of the Freshman Class council to engage and excel in leadership skills, know how to put things out there and make your ideas into something nice.” Freshman Council is beneficial because it provides a good place to make friends, to grow, and to adjust to helpful skills for life and school.

The club primarily hosts events such as Homecoming, Spirit Week, dances, and games. All of the members work together on projects and collaborate on ways to make improvements, so the environment has a homely feel. Students who are interested in joining the Freshman Class Council are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Brown for more information at [email protected]
