Dunkin’ (formerly known as Dunkin’ Donuts) tweeted out against Wendy’s saying, “Here’s some advice about spice: It’s always better on a donut (like the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut). #DunkinSpicySide” with a picture attached showing a young woman in a donut costume holding a board showing a previous tweet from Dunkin’ saying, “Listen to the life-sized donut: You don’t have to settle for spicy nuggets. #DunkinSpicySide”. She was also standing in front of a Wendy’s location showing the sign off to the people driving their cars past it.

Wendy’s was not happy about this as they responded to Dunkin’s tweet by saying, “Stick to pushing the food that’s so ‘good’ you took it out of your name. My grandma has more heat in her roasts.” This also goes on in the comments of the post and they continue to roast each other as time goes, creating an internet spectacle which is extremely funny.

In the comments, Wendy’s replied with “It’s not hate, it’s clout chasing. Pretty common these days tbh.” Dunkin’ responded to that with, “Oooo that’s spicy! Sorry… just took a bite of the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut, what were you saying?” They kept arguing like this and Wendy’s left another comment saying, “Why’d you photoshop the sign? More people probably saw this in person than have seen this tweet.”

This started to bring up the question whether or not the picture was real. Dunkin’ responded with “Not even gonna argue about the nuggets? Ok, we see you!” Dunkin’, however, went radio silent after this, not responding to any comments on their post or Wendy’s posts. Some people believe that the guy on Dunkin’s Twitter account got fired or had their privilege of using the Twitter account revoked. Others believe that whoever it was is going to come back with more roasts, colder and meaner than the first batch.
