Not only is Fall the season for pumpkins and bonfires, it is also the season for fashion.

This year, 2016 is filled with new and past trends, especially for fall. The cold weather allows for much more opportunity to create new looks.

To start off, the most prominent adjustment to fall style is color. Many people have been styling olive green this season. Two other popular colors are baby pink and nude. Many combine the three (olive green, baby-pink and nude) together in a single look.  As for classic colors, dark reds such as burgundy and maroon were big trends last year, but haven’t been as popular this year.

When it comes to fabric, cotton and leather may not be the only option. Corduroy and satin have certainly been in style. For girls, these two fabrics have been hitting the stores in forms of skirts and dresses. As for guys, it is available in bomber jackets and pants.

Of course, fall fashion wouldn’t be the same without jackets. Anorak and jean jackets have been a staple piece in almost everyone’s fall collections, but this year some new styles have been reintroduced. The bomber jacket, which has been around since the World War 1 days, has gained lots of popularity. They may not look exactly like they did back then, but the look is definitely still there. Satin bomber jackets and ones with sewed-on designs have been the most worn. Another old trend that has come back are windbreakers. Styled with a t-shirt and jeans, windbreakers add an extra touch to your fall look. Whether it is a plain one or even a vintage windbreaker with an 80’s design, this classic piece will have the outfit looking fashionable.

As the weather begins to cool, let’s not forget shoes. When it comes to sneakers, Adidas and Nike continue to release stylish shoes for both girls and boys, such as the classic black and white Adidas ‘Superstars’. As for boots, it seems that the famous “UGG” boots aren’t as big as they used to be.

Accessories are the best final touch to spice up your look. For girls, layered and choker necklaces are trending. For guys, a classic gold or leather watch is the best for almost every look. For both genders, hats and scarves can add a bold touch to any outfit.

The most important thing to remember when creating your fall style is wear what you want. Although everyone wants to wear the latest fashions, the best style is the one of your own.
