Girls Lacrosse Season Recap

Finishing the year with a 12-2 record, the Winter Springs High School girls lacrosse team had an excellent season under new head coach Ron Hill.

The Lady Bears ended their season after a close loss to district rival Lake Brantley High School.

Senior captain Molly Garrett and junior Cameron Fricke led in the number of goals scored and senior Brooke Butterfield was an asset in ground ball pickups.

While there are 10 seniors that will be leaving the team, Coach Ron Hill has high hopes for how the team will perform in later years.

“We have 7 out of 12 returning evenly spread out among attack, midfield, and defense so we should be just as strong for 2017,” said Coach Ron Hill.

The Lady Bears have had a strong tradition of winning and excelling in their district and will continue on this path for years to come.
